Breitling watches enjoyed great sales over the past few years, but they currently don’t match the popularity of Rolex, Audemars Piguet, and Panerai. Nevertheless, one of my preferred dress watches is the newly launched Breitling model, the Transocean. Similar to the IWC Portofino, I’ve never seen a Breitling watch with such a fresh design. Made of stainless steel, the Transocean features a simple dial design, exemplified by the Transocean Day Date model, where the stainless steel case, hour markers, and hands perfectly complement the white dial. The watch I’m about to introduce is a replica of the Breitling Transocean, produced by the V7 factory, which we refer to as V7 maker. You might not be familiar with this manufacturer, and this is my first encounter with it as well. While big factories like Noob, BP, and J12 are well-known, some smaller factories also produce excellent replica Breitling watches.
The V7 Maker created this high-end 1:1 replica Breitling on the genuine watch, making it difficult to distinguish from the original. All authentic watch components are disassembled and studied to ensure the factory can produce a perfect replica. Consequently, each watch part can be interchanged with those of the original, as they are precisely copied 1:1.
The case measures 43mm by 12.8mm and is crafted from solid 316L stainless steel. The smooth, round bezel is finely polished, and the case has a slight curvature to better fit the wrist. The dial, which is my favorite feature, is white with three-dimensional silver hour markers. There is a luminous dot next to each bar-shaped hour marker, except for the ones at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock. A square box window with a black edge at 3 o’clock displays the date, while a fan-shaped window at 12 o’clock shows the day. The white dial with black lettering creates a classic and elegant contrast.
Other materials used in the replica include a domed sapphire crystal with high transparency, imported for its quality. The brown leather band is made from French calf leather, matching the color and texture of the band on the genuine watch. The movement is a clone of the Cal. 45 automatic, with plates engraved with Geneva Stripes. The Day and Date functions are instant-jumping when adjusted, ensuring high accuracy.
